Get To Know Your Town: Morrisville Rocks

When I first moved to Morrisville seven years ago, I knew I would like it here. I enjoyed the pace, the vibe, closeness to the airport, to Cary and downtown Raleigh, proximity to Boone and the beach. But these things were all about Morrisville's location and my ability to leave town to get someplace else. What I didn't realize was how much I would come to love everything about STAYING in Morrisville. I love the the small town feel, the friendly neighbors, the accessible shopping and the many events that the town offers all of us.
Here are my TOP 10 favorite activities actually IN Morrisville.
Red, White Boom!: HUGE, incredible event with the best fireworks around for 4th of July! I hope you went this past July 3rd. If not, there's always next year.
Cultural Holiday Celebrations: Christmas tree lighting, Menorah lighting, Holi, Diwali (I actually walked the runway last year), Juneteenth.
Concerts in the Park: I go with family and meet up with friends and relax to some great music and good conversation.
DragonFly Disk Golf: My son and I like to play and this small course is great for beginners, like me. I know it has had to shut down temporarily for the new Town Center construction, but I hope to see it open again soon.
Inspiring Art Murals: Installed last year: super fun, bright and cheerful. One looks to the future, one looks to the past. All look at Morrisville's inclusive nature and grateful spirit.
Dining Out: So many great options...Mi Cancun, Jasmin & Olivz, Neomonde, Charminar Biryanis & Chat, Sushi Iwa...to name a few excellent restaurants.
Oh So Convenient Shopping at ParkWest, especially Trader Joe's.
Morrisville's Majestic Queens: Morrisville Fire Dept partnered with Bee Downtown to create and care for a beehive behind Firestation 3. We need our miraculous pollinators for the vitality of our entire ecosystem. Cheers to the fire dept for raising awareness.
Playing :Pick-up pickleball at Morrisville Community Park, tennis/golf at Preston.
Fun & Fitness: So many options at the MAFC (Morrisville Aquatic and Fitness Center). Personally I like the Tai Chi classes and weight room. My son and daughter like to rock climb at Triangle Rock Club. My husband works out with Oraange Theory. Get fit, feel good!
And there is so much more.
With all this here at our doorstep, why would we go anywhere else?
